Here are some thoughts:
*Focusing too much on summer vacation diverts your energy and attention to giving your best teaching performance on a consistent basis(see my blog from last week at http://www.withoutanger.com/2/post/2013/04/do-it-like-dave-ramsey.html)
*Wishing you were on vacation adds unnecessary stress
*Getting too caught up in upcoming breaks gives the impression that you aren't fully dedicated to what you are doing
*Constantly griping about the wait until summer break brings everybody around you down
*Wishing your life away makes it go by much faster than it would if you took one day at a time
***If you really hate your job so much that all that motivates is the hope for the weekend, the next day off, or summer vacation then you might want to think about doing something else. Find a job that you don't hate going to. Your students deserve a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher.
See you next time!
