The answer to this problem is not to spend more money, hire more teachers, or drastically change the system. Most of the teachers who are in the profession today already have the potential to be great. The problem is that their poor methods for handling discipline in the classroom are holding them back. If these teachers could only learn to capable with their discipline plans, their teaching performance would skyrocket. That is what this site and my recent book are about.
There are two kinds of teachers who have trouble with student behavior problems:
1) Those who would be great if only they could figure out how to do discipline.
2) Those who are terrible and would still be terrible even if their discipline was great.
I believe that most teachers who are having discipline problems fall into the first category. They got into teaching because they loved their subject and they wanted to make a difference. Then they got started and found out that discipline problems made the job difficult and stressful.
If you are one of the many teachers who fit this description, I am here to help. Learning how to develop a successful discipline plan is not difficult. I will show you the way.
